Sitio de Calahonda is a large urbanisation between Marbella to the east and Fuengirola to the west and is part of La Cala de Mijas, Mijas Costa. Calahonda has grown to extend from the coast up into the wonderful green hills, and although there is a lot of development, Calahonda has managed to maintain a natural and rural environment and many green areas including 4 golf courses.
Calahonda is more like a small town and offers every amenity to the residents. There are commercial centres with supermarkets, banks, restaurants, shops and bars and a large array of sports facilities including a gym as well as tennis, padel and squash courts, and water sports available on the beach.
